Director of Capital Projects
Andrew Meador is the Director of Capital Projects for McDowell Properties. Mr. Meador is responsible for coordinating the due diligence and physical inspections of prospective assets. Mr. Meador is responsible for assessing the assets physical needs, creating capital budgets and supervising capital projects after the asset is acquired. Mr. Meador assists the asset managers in monitoring the activities of third party management companies to reduce expenses and maintain the asset.
Prior to joining McDowell Properties 8 years ago, Mr. Meador was a self-employed apartment industry trainer and public speaker. Mr. Meador has 29 years of apartment industry experience as a service manager, construction coordinator, maintenance director, and company trainer, and capital projects manager.
Mr. Meador holds both the Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician and Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor designations through the National Apartment Association. He also serves as a faculty member of the National Apartment Association’s Education Institute. Mr. Meador is an instructor for the National Swimming Pool Foundation’s Certified Pool Operator program and is a proctor for the Esco Institute’s Environmental Protection Agency’s 608 CFC certification program. Mr. Meador served on the Triangle Apartment Associations Education Foundation Board of Directors from 2013-2015 and currently serves as the 2016 Vice President of the Triangle Apartment Association Board of Directors.
