Real Estate Financial Analyst
Jon-Paul Karam is a Real Estate Financial Analyst for McDowell Properties. Mr. Karam is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and improving the financial models at both the fund and portfolio level. In addition, Mr. Karam is in charge of a variety of finance related tasks. These tasks include preparing quarterly fund valuations for McDowell Properties and its JV partners, calculating waterfall promote tiers, forecasting capital event implications with regard to McDowell Properties and its investors, maintaining fund histories, and working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
Prior to joining McDowell Properties, Mr. Karam worked for New Island Capital Management, a social impact investment advisory firm, where he managed the valuation and investment pipeline of assets under management. Prior to New Island, Mr. Karam worked on the finance team at Hercules Capital, a venture debt investment company, where he worked on valuation and reporting of all warrant and equity positions.
Mr. Karam has a B.S. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.
