Breakers at Windmill Lakes was acquired on June 29, 2018. The property is a 174-unit property located in Houston, TX. McDowell has 100% ownership of Breakers at Windmill Lakes and purchased the property with value-add opportunities in mind. The property provides stable cash flow and was purchased during a recovery time in Houston, after the impact of Hurricane Harvey the year prior and several other large storms. Improvements slated for this property include modernizing interiors, revitalizing common areas and enhancing amenities. Additionally, value will be added through adding yards to units.

Breakers offers a unit-mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 669 to 1,043 square feet. The property boasts of a fitness center, sprawling beach-like entry swimming pool, grilling picnic area and walking trails outlining the lake.
